This is an on-demand YouTube web scraper. Unlike most web scrapers, users are able to
initiate scrape requests at any time. Each request retrieves basic YouTube data,
without the use of an API, and presents five graph types for visualization.
Additionally, stale data can be overwritten via update requests. This way, once a request to get a content
creator's data is fulfilled, it won't be stale forever.
What inspired youtubedata.io?
This project was initially conceived to be a portal for users to retrieve gross income by content creator.
However, other sites like this already exists, and estimates vary significantly. It is not possible to accurately provide any
financial models through scraping publically available YouTube data. After a pivot, the site became
a repository for the data that was originally intended to create the gross income estimates.
